Session Description

I propose an organised session (90 minutes) provisionally entitled “The 15D HRQoL instrument and its applications in Finnish health care”. The session would be composed of the following four presentations provisionally entitled as:
1) Harri Sintonen: The 15D instrument and its properties. 15 min.
2) Risto P. Roine, Chief Assessment Physician, Helsinki University Hospital: The use of the 15D in the follow-up of cost-effectiveness of routine secondary care in the Helsinki University Hospital. 20 min
3) Olli-Pekka Ryynänen, Professor of General Practice, University of Kuopio, Finland: Bayesian methods for predicting treatment results. Example: predicting health-related quality of life as measured by the 15D in patients with COPD. 20 min
4) Markku Härmä, Chief Medical Officer, Central Hospital of South Karelia, Finland: Expectations of and experiences from introducing the electronic version of the 15D for routine use in the Hospital District of South Karelia. 20 min
5) Discussion and questions, 15 min
